[15th July 2011] Singapore Korean Music Wave

10 Korean pop groups stormed the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday. Thousands of fans were kept entertained throughout the 3-hour concert, which was co-hosted by Kevin from U-Kiss and Min from Miss A.

F.T. Island opened the show with hit singles like Love Love Love and Hello Hello. Rookie groups like Touch, X-5, DN-A and Teen Top displayed clean performances with steady vocals and clean raps. Dal Shabet also mesmerized the audience with their cute songs and co-ordinated dance steps. U-Kiss got the crowd singing along to Man Man Ha Ni and Bingeul Bingeul while Miss A got everyone to dance along to Bad Girl Good Girl.

2NE1’s appearance brought everyone on their feet and the stadium was cheering along to every song. 2NE1 rocked the house with Fire, Lonely, I’m The Best, Try to Follow Me and I Don’t Care.

The last and most anticipated act, Big Bang, started their showcase with Tonight. Although Daesung was not there, the other 4 members got his parts covered smoothly. Seungri and Taeyang performed 2 of their solo singles each, before GD&TOP came back on the stage to perform High High, Knock Out, and finally inviting Park Bom from 2NE1 back on stage for Oh Yeah. The 4 boys then reunited on stage for Love Song, and finally performed Hands Up as an encore.
